I am an experienced speaker and workshop facilitator with nearly two decades of professional experience working with diverse audiences. Transgender 101

This workshop explores the history of the concepts and terminologies related to the trans experience in the United States. This workshop is a great fit for educational, workplace, professional, religious, and governmental audiences, especially those with minimal previous experience with transgender topics.

Transgender History

This workshop explores major trends in the history of trans people in the United States from the nineteenth century to the present. This workshop is a great fit for Pride Month (June) or LGBTQ History Month (October) programming.

Trans-Inclusive Women’s History

This workshop explores key concepts in Trans Feminism and examines trans women’s lives within the context of U.S. women’s history in the twentieth century. This workshop is a great fit for Women’s History Month (March) or LGBTQ History Month (October) programming.

Transgender Medicine

This workshop explores the history of transgender medicine in the United States from the mid-twentieth century to the present. This workshop does NOT focus on the science, but rather explores the social, cultural, and political factors shaping trans healthcare.

Transgender Medicine (for Medical Professionals)

This workshop is more advanced than the previous one and is geared specifically to medical student and medical professional audiences. This workshop explores the social, cultural, and political factors shaping transgender healthcare, and provides a historical overview from the mid-twentieth century to the present. This workshop is a great fit for medical students, counselors, physicians, administrators, and related audiences.

Doing LGBTQ+ History in Your Community / at Your Institution

This workshop explores a range of tools and strategies for documenting LGBTQ+ history in your home communities or in your school or work institutions. This workshop is a great fit for Pride Month (June) or LGBTQ History Month (October) programming.
